Mostra “Unknown Cities 2” via Corridoni Milano 5 – 19 febbraio 2016, orario e info

Milano, Centro Storico. Venerdì 5 Febbraio avrà luogo un  nuovo appuntamento con l’arte alla Galleria Artworks Milano, per l’apertura della seconda edizione del ciclo di mostre Unknown Cities.
GLI ARTISTI ESPORTI – Si potranno ammirare le ceramiche di alcuni grandi Maestri: Sandro Chia, Salvatore Fiume, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Giuseppe Rossicone, Mario Schifano ed Ernesto Treccani. Importanti artisti e pietre miliari della nostra storia dell’arte.
– Sono inoltre in esposizione i dipinti ed i disegni di Remo Brindisi, Lucio Forte, Laura Lapini e Paola Mantovani, interessanti opere realizzate a olio e tecnica mista su tela, tavola e carta, di piccolo, medio e grande formato.
IL TEME DELLA MOSTRA – Il tema della mostra verte sull’idea di città immaginarie e sconosciute, che rappresentano poi l’espressione della massima articolazione e complessità dell’agire umano nella sua pazzia verso la distruzione anticipata e totale del pianeta, in un’idea fantascientifica (e speriamo non reale), di conurbazione globale della Terra.
– Distruzione anticipata si intende rispetto alla naturale morte del sole, che renderà comunque inabitabile il nostro pianeta.
L’INAUGURAZIONE – La serata di inaugurazione, venerdì 5 febbraio a partire dalle ore 18:00, permetterà un volo immaginativo attraverso queste visioni e ipotesi, e sarà allietata anche  dalla degustazione di rinomati vini piacentini, frutto della tradizione agricola dall’azienda Il Casello, a dimostrazione che la bellezza e l’armonia nascono dalla terra, in assonanza con la natura e in antitesi a una spinta estrema all’artificiale quale pericolosa attuale tendenza del nostro periodo storico.
– Tendenza storica che si delinea a partire dal momento in cui la rivoluzione industriale iniziò a cambiare velocemente e irreversibilmente un mondo, che fino ad allora viveva in un ecosistema equilibrato costituitosi in tempi dalle dimensioni così immense, da essere per la nostra immaginazione difficilmente afferrabili a causa della nostra incapacità di astrarci dalla contingenza temporale in cui viviamo.
– Un mondo di cui noi eravamo stati sempre un piccolo tassello integrante in equilibro.
UNKNOWN CITIES – Unknown Cities sono invece le espressioni estreme di conurbazione del pianeta, come pure la speranza di complessificare talmente la tecnologia fino ad arrivare a realizzare città predisposte per sopravvivere nello spazio, necessarie quando avremo devastato completamente la Terra, la nostra nave nell’Universo.
– A quel punto, la domanda da porsi è perché non si agisca, perché non si comprenda che sia più saggio salvaguardarla questa nave.
– E la risposta è semplice: perché lo sfruttamento del pianeta è un mostro che vive di vita propria, che cammina con le proprie gambe e che non possiamo controllare.

Unknown 2 Cities, Exhibition of paintings and ceramic art
Milan, Old Town. Friday, February 5th new appointment with the Art in 8 Corridoni Street at Artworks Milano Gallery, where it opens the second edition of the cycle of exhibitions Unknown Cities.
You can admire the ceramics of some great master: Sandro Chia, Salvatore Fiume, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Giuseppe Rossicone, Mario Schifano and Ernesto Treccani. Artists and important milestones of our history.
Also on display are paintings and drawings of Remo Brindisi, Lucio Forte, Laura Lapini and Paola Mantovani, interesting works in oil and mixed media on canvas, wood and paper, of small, medium and large format.
The theme of the exhibition focuses on the idea of ​​imaginary and unknown cities, that representing the highest levels of articulation and of complexity of human activity in his madness toward the premature and total destruction of the planet, an idea in science fiction (and hopefully not real), about the Global Earth conurbation.
Premature destruction compared of the natural death of the sun, which will make our planet uninhabitable anyway.
The opening night, Friday 5 February starting at 6:00 pm, will glad and will bring to  a flight of imagination, through these visions and hypotheses, also thanks to the tasting of fine wines from Piacenza, products of agricultural traditions by the farm Il Casello. Beauty and harmony are born from the earth, in consonance with nature and in contrast to a strong push toward the artificial that is a dangerous trend of our era.
Historical trend that emerged from the time when the industrial revolution began to change rapidly and irreversibly a world that until that moment lived in a balanced ecosystem.
This ecosystem was formed in times so immense that’s for our imagination hardly graspable, for our inability to abstracting our thinking from the contingency of the time in which we live.
A natural world in which we was always been a small piece integrant in balance.
Unknown Cities instead are extreme expressions of the conurbation of the planet, as well as the hope to realize always more complex technology until you get to build cities prepared to survive in Space, that will be necessary when we will destroy all the Earth, our ship in the universe.
Then we wonder why we do not act, why do not you understand that it is wiser to safeguard this ship.
And the answer is simple, and it is because the exploitation of the planet is a monster that lives its own life, that walk on their own feet and we can not control.

The exhibition can be visited by appointment until February 19, Artworks at Milan, Via Corridoni 8. Opening with wine tasting on February 5th at 6pm.
